More clavecin oculaire

Here’s a short harpsichord piece by Jean-François Dandrieu, roughly contemporary to Castel. Called La Contrariante, it’s a pretty good demonstrator for the clavecin oculaire. Two melodic lines chase each other across the keyboard like squirrels mating.

Later note: This demonstration helps to debug the animation. The stripes on the display screen are correctly positioned wrt the opened candles, but the stripes are NOT correctly colored. Need to revise. Also, the original would have been more blurred, with each candle’s representation overlapping its neighbors to some extent. I don’t think I can make that happen in Poser, but will ponder on it….

Okay, here’s the revised Dandrieu piece with the stripes correctly colored.
