One author on Medium mentioned NewsBreak so I looked at it. NewsBreak is a pure aggregator, sensing your location and picking up “stories” from a variety of “local” media. It picks the most sensational, the best inducers of fear and panic. It also features national “stories” as seen from the usual MSNBC viewpoint.

Existing newspapers are a low bar, or more precisely a subterranean bar. NewsBreak manages to slime under it.
