Just noticed that tomorrow is President Day. In previous years online ads were full of President Day Sales, which have nothing to do with presidents. Any old excuse for a sale. This year I haven’t seen any.
Given the basic fact that all media and corporations are pure D, you’d think they would have canceled President Day during the Unspeakable Reign of JANUARY_6_VIOLENT_INSURRECTION. Now that a holy and blessed D is back in “office”, the day should be supercelebrated.
Have businesses finally picked up the fact that people are just goddamn fucking TIRED of ALL POLITICS regardless of “party”?
Later: Oops. I was a week early. The Spokane city website announced it on 2/13, along with the usual closing stuff, and I assumed they meant it was happening on 2/13. Turns out it’s 2/20 this year.
