Maybe he’s just dumb too.

Is Taibbi also dumb like Craig Wright? I doubt it.

Taibbi is trying to expose internal propaganda, which he “believes” to be relatively new.

Worse, messages from these institutions are parroted more or less automatically by our corporate press, which has decided that instead of a network of independent/adversarial newspapers and TV stations, what the country needs is one giant Voice of America, bleating endlessly about “threats to democracy.” I’ve come to believe a sizable percentage of reporters don’t know that their sources are funded by the government, or that they’re repeating government messaging not just occasionally but all the time. The ones who don’t know this truth need to hear it, and the ones who knew all along need to be exposed.

1. We never had “independent/adversarial newspapers.” Small-town papers had to please local advertisers, and big papers were in constant contact with Deepstate. Hearst boasted that he could start a war on command. That was 120 years ago.

2. Back in the alleged Cold War, the Voice of America was MORE independent and LESS biased than our internal media. VOA did a damn good job of highlighting our problems as well as our virtues, because genuine balance was its SELLING POINT.

3. Reporters don’t know who approves their words? Aaaaarrrgggh. You can’t be that stupid.
