Random meaningless observation. I stopped following and reading the ‘data-gatherers’ when they turned into Gaians and partisan political cheerleaders. They’re ferociously supporting Trump, THE MAN WHO GAVE US LOCKDOWNS AND BALLGAGS AND NEEDLES.
Instead, I started following and subscribing to writers who are trying to focus on the bigger picture, which might be called ‘spiritual’ or ‘artistic’.
Now the team members are getting louder and wilder and Trumpier, and the ‘artists’ have mostly gone silent. Maybe they’re just tired of being yanked around and flooded with nonsense, as I am. Or maybe Substack is shifting its algorithm to favor the team members and effectively demonetize the ‘artistic’ voices?
One thing is definite: Substack is aiming to become a monopoly. Monopolies don’t favor offbeat voices, to put it extremely mildly.
