Using the trustifying rule 2

A good example of trustifying.

Naomi Wolf is reading through the 1560 Geneva Bible. She knows linguistics and Hebrew and Biblical analysis, and she says this edition describes a much kinder and less psychopathic God than the King James or later versions. She seems convinced of this distinction.

So far I’m not hearing the distinction. I don’t know Biblical analysis or Hebrew, but I’m familiar with older English, so I tried reading some of the Psalms. They look the same to me. Old Dave is basically instructing God to approve his vast wealth and wicked wars. God approves. Dave instructs God to curse and strike down all the Losers and Negative Externalities who get in Dave’s way. God obeys. No obvious empathy or kindness.

But I’ll listen to more of Naomi, because her view of the modern world syncs with mine at all the important points. She has passed the ‘trustify’ test, so I’ll stick around to see if the alleged difference shows up. If it doesn’t, the rule says to turn off trust.
