This Vivek character is playing a weird game. First he claimed that Lincoln’s Genocide was about applying the 2nd amendment to blacks, which is loony. Now he proposes raising the “voting” age to 25, and requiring a literacy and citizenship test for “voting”.
After two examples, a pattern emerges. He’s parodying everything Repooflicans say, as seen by Democrats.
The usual “conservatives” are all about guns, making all sorts of nonsensical claims about history. They haven’t made Vivek’s claim yet; he’s pulling them toward it.
The usual “conservatives” constantly yammer about civics, which is a guaranteed way to train gullible fools. If you think “constitutions” and “laws” exist, you are TOTALLY VULNERABLE to real rulers who know that the only law is what the ruler wants right now. If you have studied Parkinson and Machiavelli, you will be far more prepared for the demons.
A literacy test for “voting” is prohibited by the same “constitution” that the usual conservatives want us to worship. Now Vivek’s followers will parrot his proposal, making them easy targets.
In other words, Vivek serves the same Pied Piper Purpose as Trump. He makes Repooflicans look horrible, and pulls them toward actually BEING more horrible.

** Definition of magsman. I find it interesting that several of today’s fast-talking distinguished galaxy-brain magsmen are from India. The old British underworld slang was developed at a time when Indian immigrants (including Gypsies) were a big part of the British underworld, and MANY of the familiar terms are either Hindi or Romani in origin. The mag in magsman is not Hindi. As a verb, MAG in thieves’ slang is to talk well and persuasively. The same mag appears in magpie, where dictionaries believe it is an abbreviation for Margaret, denoting a chatterer.

Trying to guess the strategy of Vivek’s handlers…. He seems to be placed as a counterpart to Nikki Haley, providing two different ‘getters’ for the high-status Indian immigrants who are threatening the party establishment. If those important people are frittering away their money and pressure on two opposite agents provocateurs, their influence will be neutralized.
