Still there

Wandering through the Historic Enid facebook site, I was reminded again of the lost art of bricklaying. Enid’s bricklayers were especially talented. Decided to feast on brick art, found a book in Googlebooks.

One chapter is devoted to patented interlock methods.

Showed a house in Sweden built with the Ideal Rolok method:

This style is rare in US. I’ve seen only one example, on Sand Ridge Road in Bowling Green. Is it still there 55 years later? Googlemaps is getting harder to use every day, refusing to show streets or street names. Tried the satellite view. Clicked on the area where I vaguely remembered the house. Right there on the first click!

All-brick is especially durable in a swampy place like BG.
