Since March I’ve been doing longer neighborhood walks, inspired by Beatrix to reconnect the physical world.
During the NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP period I was restricting walks to one standard path, operating in SIR! NAME RANK AND SERIAL NUMBER SIR! mode.
Also, my walking capacity is much longer now after cutting down on carbs, inspired by Printanier.
I’ve been covering several blocks not seen in 3 years, and a couple of blocks not seen since 2006. One pattern emerges. The long-vacant apts had created a locus of decay along nearby blocks. The apts were finally renovated and rented in Dec 2021. Now the nearby blocks are cleaning up, and a new locus of decay is growing in the SW part of the neighborhood, which was formely solid Hank Hill territory.
