Wouldn’t bet

Now we have three debuts sponsored by Elon in a short time.

DeSantis was ruined by Elon.

RFK was not exactly ruined but sort of muted because Elon was in the interview.

Tucker Carlson’s debut was all on his own, with no Elon presence. In less than a day he has 70 million views. That’s half the adult population. His message is sharp and clear on one subject: NO MORE WAR. The other two are at best nuanced, approving war in general but disapproving the manner of conducting war.

The antiwar politicians of the ’60s would have … well, maybe not killed, but certainly given an arm or a leg to gain half the population for one broadcast, with little advance publicity, on a channel that is popular but not top-level. Twitter is like PBS in those days. Watched by the elite, rarely reaching a million viewers.

Will any of the regular politicians take note of this massive tide of antiwar sentiment? I wouldn’t bet a penny let alone an arm.
