Makes sense

Saagar and Krystal discuss the total takeover of housing by Blackrock and a couple other giant PE firms. They don’t seem to have any solutions, and they unfortunately miss the main point. It’s too late for a regulatory solution, because the takeover is DONE. Most of it happened around 2017.

A sliding scale income tax on rent could make it harder to keep such properties, but Blackrock also owns Congress, so ain’t gonna happen.

This interview with Chris Christie is interesting for the questions more than the answers. I’ve heard Christie often enough to know where he’s coming from. He’s selling competence, not anti-Woke crap. I disagree with most of his policy positions, but he seems to be the only candidate who understands Trump and has a personal grudge against Trump. He knows the game and the players.

Interviewer Charlie Sykes says the Repooflicans are in a tough spot. They can’t win with Trump, but if they try to win without Trump, Trump will burn the house down.

On the dot. Trump is an absolute psychopath who destroys everything that displeases him. EVERYTHING displeases him after one day of tolerance. More specifically, Trump was a Mafia-connected slumlord before he went into entertainment and politics. NYC slumlords are experts at burning the house down when it ceases to generate maximum profit.

It makes sense that Blackrock’s takeover happened after they chose a president who appreciated their way of doing things.
