What’s wrong with Frank?

Hersh interviews Thomas Frank.

They accurately describe the well-known realignment of D and R. In 1932 D became the HONEST voice of the working class and remained there as long as FDR breathed.

Now both represent the plutocrats, with varying forms of dishonesty. D pretends to be about hippie shit. Before 2016, R was openly and honestly for the plutocrats. Now R pretends to be about working class shit, which is fakely represented as anti-hippie. Nobody except Fran is publicly defending real work and real skills.

Frank made his bones on an inaccurate treatment of Kansas history, which paid off handsomely with honors and rewards by the plutocrats.

He considers the original progressive impulse to be solid and valid, while the modern right-wing cultural tendency is fake. In fact both are fake.

The ordinary people who believe both sides are honest and serious about their beliefs. The leaders who create those beliefs know exactly what they’re doing. The original Populist leaders diagnosed the problem correctly and prescribed a complex solution that would give MORE power to the bankers.

THEY KNOW IT’S A HOAX BECAUSE THEY MADE THE HOAX.

The original 1850s anti-SOUTHERN slavery progressives were tools for Yankee SWEATSHOP slavery. Most believed in what they were doing, but their leaders were part of the hoax.

In the interview Frank says:

However, there hasn’t been a really competitive national third party since the Populists of the 1890s. The Populists, who were a left-wing farmer-labor party, frightened the establishment of their day, and in the aftermath all sorts of measures were taken to ensure something like that never happened again.

The Populists were a Mach divider just like today’s Trumpists. They weren’t a spontaneous movement. Bryan was a faker just like Trump. After Bryan Piedpipered the suckers to gain power, he joined Wilson and helped to form perpetual war and globalism.

Why is Frank, born in Kansas, still fooled by the fakers, while I finally figured it out?

Maybe it’s just age. I figured out the hippie shit immediately thanks to the clarifier of prison, but didn’t figure out the Yankee vs agrarian shit until 5 years ago.

More likely it’s different generations with different experiences.

Frank was born in 1965, so he didn’t experience the hippie era and Vietnam. I went through the hippie shit and realized its fakery in 1969.

Earlier, I grew up across the street from the Goodnow mansion in Manhattan, played in its yard, and got yelled at by the Goodnow granddaughter who was a cranky old lady then. I remained fascinated with the events of 1855. After looking through the primary sources in the KSHS website, the picture was crystal clear.

Contra: The current crop of bureaucrats, and even some legislators, are quietly working FOR industries and skills, without any publicity or partisan crap. The securities regulators are using the old FDR laws to move money away from pure finance and back into real industry. Powell has brought back normal interest rates, serving the same purpose. Legislators are shaping Federal and state subsidies and tax credits toward real industry, and it’s starting to pay off.
