Weird and dumb

This editorial in Military.com expresses the will of the demons. It’s written by a monster who believes (or pretends to believe) all of Satan’s lies. Nevertheless, it says that the military side of Deepstate is planning a peculiar sort of part-time draft.

This paragraph is simply true:

= = = = = START QUOTE:

While the all-volunteer force had the effect of lowering discipline problems and professionalizing the force, it also created a vast gap between American citizens and those who serve — effectively creating a military warrior caste that now appears more like a multi-generational family business than an organization that represents the true makeup of our democratic republic.

= = = = = END QUOTE.

Leaving aside the nonsense of the last two words, the gap is dramatically obvious. Modern ex-military men are spies. They are Deepstate cultists who know how to spy and subvert, and nothing else.

The pre-1973 draft did a good job of training men for real life. In my generation, and the previous two generations as well, the men who had served two years without seeing combat were good team players, capable of leadership and compromise. They knew how to solve problems and get shit done. Many of them acquired job skills, from steam engineering to electronics, that were ignored by public schools.

The men who had seen serious combat were wrecked. This was true whether they were volunteers or conscripts, so it’s a constant and not part of the current question.

The Military.com editorial proposes:

= = = = = START QUOTE:

We should have our military recruiters sign up new troops for 11 months out of the year, and then have the Selective Service draft the delta between the military’s needs and the total number recruited.

= = = = = END QUOTE.

This is weird and dumb, serving only as a foot in the door to forcibly “justify” a full-time draft. It would instantly generate a new divide between the men of the unlucky month (December Doomers?) and the rest. I remember the years when the draft was based on a lottery. The men who drew a high number felt blessed, and the rest of us resented them.

If you’re going to do a draft at all, you have to go all the way. Take women, men, and “everything in between”. No exemptions before the physical exam. Let the physical exam decide who is totally unsuited or medically vulnerable. Train EVERYONE who is suitable. The training itself, at least in its old form, was a positive benefit.
