Not an ideal world

Caitlin Johnstone points out that Vivek is not totally antiwar. He wants to make more war against China and less war against Russia.

Yup. Can’t argue. In an ideal world I’d prefer total isolationism, as we had with FDR. We’ll never get another FDR, so in the world of universal monsters we need to support the less harmful monsters.

There’s an important difference between China and Russia.

RUSSIA HAS NEVER ATTACKED US.

Stalin wanted to be friendly, and FDR gave him what he wanted. After FDR died, our Men Of Monopoly took over and returned to our traditional war against Russia and our traditional** alliance with Kraut NAZIS. Stalin understood that he could no longer trust us, so he adopted defensive hostility.

China has been uniformly hostile since Mao took over in 1949. Nixon surrendered to China in the 1970s, and China has been invading and occupying us economically ever since then, with full cooperation and collaboration from our government and corporations.

If we’re going to break contacts and issue sanctions against one of the big powers, breaking contacts with China would be PURELY BENEFICIAL to our own people. Our contacts with China have destroyed us, and China knew what it was doing from the start.

Making or breaking contacts with Russia never made much difference to our own economy, because we never had much trade with Russia. Before 1970, both countries had the same kind of agricultural and industrial output, so we didn’t truly need anything Russia could offer, and vice versa. Russia never played the Chinese game of offering factory slaves as an enticement to theft of technology. Russia prefers to educate its own people in its own vastly superior way, and prefers to do its own scientific development, which has always been more free and less doctrinaire than ours.

Our sanctions against Russia damage our European allies, who can’t seem to separate themselves from our malignant influence.

If we really wanted to turn the Great Game against China, we’d also reform our way of colonizing Africa and South America. We’ve always done the Mouse That Roared routine, supporting corrupt dictators and imposing our demonic culture on moral people. China’s colonies are purely capitalist, with no cultural requirements. Third World countries gain employment and profit without sacrificing their morality, so they strongly prefer the Chinese way of colonizing.
