Substack is getting more and more elitist, more unfriendly to uncelled peasants.
Today this QR thing has started obscuring every page:
The QR thing doesn’t have a close button. Clicking on it leads to the Download choice, which does have a close button; but trying to close the Download choice just cycles back to the original QR thing.
When I tried to download one of the apps to get rid of the thing, it tells me that I don’t have any devices. Correct. At that point the whole mess should go away, since it knows that it has no purpose. Instead it just cycles back to the QR thing again.
Aside from Marie Antoinette, a loop without an exit is BAD PROGRAMMING PRACTICE.
