Why does the myth persist?

Burge takes a detailed look at Hispanic voting patterns in Florida. I found one BIG number more interesting than the details.

Politically, are Hispanic Catholics predisposed to vote for Republicans at a higher clip? I don’t really see that in this data, honestly. According to Nationscape data, 47% of Hispanic Catholics are Democrats and 40% are Republicans. That’s not that much different than Hispanic Protestants/Christians.

Repooflicans constantly chant that Dems want immigration because immigrants are automatic D voters.

Dem strategists believe in numbers, not myths. 47/40 is NOT an automatic bloc. It’s not worth all the trouble to get a small advantage in a small increment.

What’s the real goal? Same as the traditional Repoof goal for open borders. CHEAP LABOR to drive down all wages, and CHEAP SERVANTS for the rich.

Why does the myth persist? Because the Robber Baron switch to Dem is recent. It started in the 90s with the ascendance of the Silicon Valley tech tyrants. So far the R side hasn’t fully adjusted to the switch. Most Repoof politicians and commentators are still courting the robber barons, seemingly unaware that the barons have already finalized the divorce.
