As I’ve repeatedly pointed out, there’s no such thing as “discovering” the Western Hemisphere. The northern tribes were ALWAYS wandering around the entire circle at high latitudes, by boat or by walking. The trip from Spain to Haiti was a long and risky voyage at low latitudes, but most of the water crossings near the Arctic are short in summer and walkable in winter.
