Africa is the future.

Discovery Institute, the ID advocate, just finished a long lecture tour in Africa, with 65 lectures in South Africa and Kenya.

Four lectures to over 1,300 students at the University of Eldoret, located in Eldoret, the fifth-largest city in Kenya. Here, we were greeted with — no joke — a band and a red carpet. There’s a reason this university was so excited to hear about intelligent design — they offer courses on ID and we even got to help give out certificates to students who had completed coursework on the subject.

Another series of lectures at Great Lakes University of Kisumu, just a few miles away from Lake Victoria, where we spoke to 300 students and then participated in a tree-planting ceremony.

None of this could even be IMAGINED in US/EU/UK, where all universities are united in perfect opposition to all thinking.

Africa is the future of morality and civilization and learning.

Hadn’t heard of Eldoret, so looked it up. It’s about 500k population, center of an agricultural region, wheat and cotton, with textile mills as its major industry. Climate is perfect, 65 degrees every day, rainy summers and dry winters. Record high is 85, record low is 35. Never burns, never freezes. Googlemaps shows a thoroughly modern, well-maintained and prosperous city. Most buildings look better than most US cities. The obvious visual difference is that everyone is walking and driving motorcycles, not cars. Outside of downtown everyone is doing business, with kiosks and vendors along every street.

Few days later, the lecturers did a podcast about the experience. They were pleased that the students were not “pre-trained to see the world through a materialistic lens”, and the students were eager to participate in new ideas.

They mentioned that they toured a wildlife park, part of what you’d tritely expect in Kenya, and saw the lions sleeping under the elevated HIGH SPEED RAIL LINE. WTF? Yes, Kenya has a trans-country high speed rail line.

WHO’S ADVANCED AND WHO’S PRIMITIVE? The question no longer needs to be asked. Africa is advanced and US is primitive superstitious tribes.
