Better useless analogy

There’s no way to stop warmongers with logic, but nevertheless there is one easy analogy.

Why do we get involved in SOME domestic disputes between other countries and not OTHERS?

Ukraine is not a good comparison with Israel. We started the Ukraine conflict, first by breaking up the USSR in 1990 and then by color revolutioning Ukraine in 2014. It’s our war from the start, and it continues to be our war.

We didn’t start Israel vs Palestine. Britain drew the map and set up the conditions in 1947. We were NOT interested in Israel in 1947, and didn’t get firmly aligned until Reagan used it as an enticement for the evangelicals. Carter had been loudly uninterested, giving Reagan a wedge issue.

A closer analogy is India and Pakistan fighting over the province of Kashmir. This was also set up by Britain’s mapmakers in 1947, and the two countries have been fighting sporadically ever since, just like Israel vs Palestine. Same time span, same origin, same level of war. But we’ve NEVER gotten involved in Kashmir. Pakistan has been more or less Our SOB, and India has been more or less on the Russian side, so we could have found a reason to get involved. But we didn’t. We’ve never sent any troops or color revolutioned Kashmir.
