Kirn and associates have started up a printed newspaper. Since I’ve been mouthing off about real printing and real newspapers for a long time, decided to put my moneying where my mouthing is.
Got the first issue. It’s nicely wrapped and nicely printed, but it doesn’t have ANYTHING I couldn’t find on the web. No radical “uncensored” content, just a lot of LOOOOOOOOOOOONG articles similar in style to the New Yorker or the Atlantic. None of the short features and quizzes I enjoyed in old newspapers, no pretty pictures. Small print and dense unbroken columns, not inviting to the eye. Designed by people who don’t know what made real papers enticing to buy and pleasing to read.
Not worth the price. Not worth much of anything.
If reviewing it on Ebay, I’d say “Slow shipping, excellent packing, item not as described.”
