Used to be a job

Listening to the new breed of journalists covering Sammy. They had to get along without their iPhone mental prostheses. They’re doing a fair job of taking notes on paper, but they admit that they can’t keep up all the time. This used to be a standard job for shorthand stenographers. I wonder if anyone thought of hiring a professional stenographer? They’re not common but still in business.

Axios has an absurd headline today: SBF struggles in first court appearance. Sammy never struggles. He’s always right and everyone else is always wrong. His lawyers are struggling. I don’t have any sympathy for highly paid lawyers, but I’ll make an exception here. They know all the proper strategies and tricks to ameliorate sentences and pacify juries. They’re stuck with a client who absolutely refuses to follow their long experience and good advice. Worst of all, his own defense strategy is to BLAME LAWYERS for his problems!
