There’s massive amounts of waste, unfortunately, left to cull within these new realities: massive bureaucracies serving assumptions that can’t go on. These are bloated, uncompetitive industries, focused on themselves and their own business plans beyond inspiring and delighting audiences. Short features have been the salvation of each medium at different times. Short features saved country newspapers in the 1880s, and continued to be an important part of newspapers. Short features saved independent syndicators in radio and in movie newsreels. Short features are obviously the best choice in online video now, as Youtube and others copy Tiktok.
Important:
SMALL productions allow SMALL businesses and SMALL creators to profit in a SMALL way. You have to abandon the whole concept of all-consuming giant mergers and giant theories and giant wins and giant losses. Back to bite-size goals and bite-size profits and bite-size losses.
Mammals win when dinosaurs die.
EXPERIENCE SURVIVES. THEORIES KILL.
