This British group claims to be defending genuine freedom in art. As with the Free University of Austin, I’d like to see such a group working clearly and concisely toward its goal.
The art freedom group has a fine manifesto. Nothing arguable there. But as with Austin, the board of advisors is Woke. Most of them work in the Die-Versity field, and all have solid DEI/ESG credentials. This interview with the founder is equally dubious. She sounds like the normal Deepstater, saying art should be “challenging” and a “canary in a coal mine.”
Those are Deepstate’s purposes. CIA has been subsidizing and encouraging CHAOS AND UGLINESS in art for 75 years, and the horrible results are all around us.
If you really want to be an outsider, you need to be making BEAUTY AND ORDER. That’s the proper purpose of art, and it’s the best way of fighting UGLINESS AND CHAOS.
Life is order and beauty. Death is chaos and ugliness. Not a metaphor, a complete and precise definition. Living things make order and beauty. That’s the entire purpose of life and art.
Again, I would love to see a group supporting beauty and order. If this group intends to do it, they’re not EXPRESSING their purpose in a comprehensible way. They’re not creating art in their expressions, which makes me doubt their intentions.
