Spokane News posted one of our multiple daily overdose deaths, then added this explanation:
Yes, this happens a lot in the area. True, we do not post them all. We posted this as it was called out as a cardiac arrest which calls for a very large response so we post to avoid the area.
If media and corporations and politicians would TREAT PEOPLE LIKE ADULTS and explain what’s going on, we might have a bit more trust in media and corporations and politicians.
Unfortunately they don’t and they won’t. This is a unique shining example. Other media follow the Bush/Rush model. Never explain, never apologize, never thank. Just keep pumping out more chaos and insanity, keep changing the rules every seven seconds.

At the moment Substack needs this type of adult supervision. The Notes feature brought in a crowd of Twitterites who want to make Substack just like Twitter, with rigid partisan censorship. The bullies are trying to break the basic business model. They want the management to remove people the bullies don’t like.
We’ve seen what happened in universities when administrators gave in to censorious bullies. In that case it didn’t matter much because universities never had “free speech”. There’s always a rigid ruling orthodoxy in every subject, which isn’t necessarily political in the usual way. With Substack the bullying does matter because the whole purpose of the business is allowing every belief to appear, and allowing every belief to try for subscriptions. An unwanted belief won’t get subscriptions, so it won’t profit; but it will still be available.
Or maybe that’s not the whole purpose. Introducing Notes was bound to bring in Twitter types, and the management was bound to know this. Now that the censorship petitions are floating around, the management can be “forced” to start running the place more like Twitter. See Sweetheart Lawsuits. One of the three legs of Deepstate is activist groups, who “protest” or “sue” or “petition” the government to take an unpopular action. After “reluctantly” agreeing to the lawsuit, the government is then “forced against its will” to do what it wanted to do.
If Substack really doesn’t want this type of interference, they need to say so loud and clear.

Later thought: Notes wasn’t just designed to be LIKE Twitter, it was introduced and timed to catch Twitterites who left Twitter because they fantasized that Elon is a “White Christian Nationalist”. Notes was MEANT to collect the usual drably predictable “progressive” busybodies, and it did.
Busybodies and gossips love to infect small groups. The New Testament has good advice for dealing with gossips. Don’t fight them, don’t let them occupy your time and your mind. Go about your business and do the right thing.
