At a fixed timepoint in every episode of Lady Edgar’s official propaganda outlet This is your FBI, the smarmy Special Agent slaps his forehead and says “Wait! Why didn’t I notice this before?”
Here’s one of those moments.
For many years I’ve been focusing on ZERO TAX as the sole purpose of Repooflicans and Tech Tyrants. The local Repoofs ignored Demon Inslee’s NAZI TORTURE entirely, instead pretending to oppose him because he RAISED THE CAR LICENSE TAX FROM 30 DOLLARS TO 60 DOLLARS. A 30 dollar increase in tax was an unforgivable sin. Imprisoning and strangling the entire state for two years was no big deal. These people are LOONY. (Well, more precisely they’re BRIBED. They work for Bezos and Inslee.)
Tax evasion was the purpose of 1776. The Tea Party was perfectly clear.
Tax evasion is the purpose of LBOs and Venture Capitalists. They are NOT trying to make money. Every one of their investments is an intentional loss. They buy a company for the sole purpose of killing it.
Okay then, we need a new theory of modern capitalism. Both sides are operating on the Shared Lie of profit. The right says profit is good, the left says profit is bad.
BLOCKAGE is the right variable.
We colonize to block, not for profit. We don’t invade a country to GAIN resources. We invade a country to BLOCK its resources so nobody can have them. Our main war tools are BLOCKADES and SANCTIONS.
Patents are NOT about adding new ideas. Patents are solely about BLOCKING new ideas.
Medicine is NOT about improving health. Medicine is about ending immunity and ending life.
Physics is NOT about expanding our knowledge of the universe. Physics is about creating a black hole to swallow up the universe.
Environmentalism is NOT about cleaning up the world. It’s solely about STOPPING all respiration by both plants and animals. Animals can’t exhale CO2, plants can’t inhale CO2.
What should this broad theory be called? It’s not capitalism because it’s not about capital. It’s not socialism because it’s not about the social good.
The only purpose is to STOP income and business and ideas and health and life.
I can’t think of a decent name. Blockism? Constipatism? Stoppery? Endism?
I’m tempted to associate it with an aging empire. Prostate, arteriosclerosis, arthritis. But our rulers have been operating this way for 200 years, long before our empire turned senile. Their goal is to block EVERYONE ELSE, not to block themselves.
