Computer has been doing weird things for the last few days. It finally showed up as a virus that blocked AVG’s attempts to remove it. I used Eset’s online scan, which detected and removed several ‘suspicious’ items related to the programs that were behaving weirdly.
After that I tried to buy and install Eset properly, but it won’t install on Win 7. Last straw. All programs have been closing off Win 7; looks like this month is official EOL.
Gave in and bought a new Win 11 computer from Lenovo.
My current computer is Lenovo, bought used. It has served well, quieter than any previous unit. Brand loyalty is deserved.
