DeSantis is ‘pivoting’ toward his real intention now. None of these candidates were really applying for the job of president. Everyone knew that TrumpBiden is the sole candidate and the guaranteed heir. (Doesn’t matter which label it’s wearing, TrumpBiden is one monster.)
Auditioning is normal. Whenever the incumbent is guaranteed, a flock of newcomers jump in to start introducing their names and themes. When there’s no incumbent, only serious top-level players get into the ring.
What’s not normal is DeSantis’s STUPID audition. When you’re starting something new, you need to start HARD and HEAVY and NOW. You need to get all of your authority and purpose into the arena in the first MINUTE or at worst the first day. FDR started solving problems INSTANTLY and kept going until he died.
DeSantis had a perfect resume, based on acting HARD and FIRST in Florida. He protected Floridians from TrumpBiden’s worst crime in history. Other weaker governors in Dixie soon followed his lead.
When he announced for president he let ELON set the tone, instead of controlling the event himself. Elon played all the usual WEF games, “technical glitches” and meaningless questions. After that, DeSantis still refused to SELL his own best points, playing the idiotic Woke shit against Disney, which nobody really believes.
Now I don’t give a fuck what he does next. If you won’t defend your own record, why should I help?

Later and angrier thought: DeSantis endorsing Trump is like Wyatt Earp joining Billy the Kid’s gang, or Churchill moving in with Hitler at Berchtesgaden. DeSantis was the sheriff who protected his state from Trump’s unimaginable torture and genocide. If he imagines that he can ever be trusted again after joining the enemy that he fought so hard to defeat, he’s crazy.
