The Fog Month

We’ve been in a typical January fog pattern, which is a relief after a windstorm then supercold then big snow.

I didn’t realize that 1/3 of the country is also in an atypical January fog pattern.

This Iowa meteorologist is keeping track of The Month Of Fog, with maps showing the Dense Fog Alerts, constant for a week. (Must admit the part of the map that really caught my attention was the ‘counties’ in the ocean. They look a lot like the land counties in neighboring western states.)
