Official stats and media accounts insist that crime and inflation don’t exist. Ordinary people know the truth, and even in “mainline” circles, ordinary people are pissed enough to speak the truth.
In the Spokane section of Reddit, a lover of the official line blamed cops for trying to stop crime. He didn’t get any love. Only one responder agreed with the idiocy. The rest said that cops are faced with an impossible task of trying to control crime when the rest of the system is ENCOURAGING crime in every possible way.
When the official line loses Reddit, it has lost all support. Facebook and Twitter can be dismissed as RUSSIAN_HACKERS, but Reddit is reliably orthodox.
