Astrology wins

I started keeping a daily worklog for life in 2016, after realizing the value of worklogs in work projects. The lifelog gets more ‘chatty’ every year. At first it was just dumps and sleeps, now I try to notice and write down everything that might be relevant.

Looking back at previous logs makes it easy to tell which health or mood tendencies are new and which are seasonal. The seasonal items are remarkably precise. This week I’m noticing a return of the migrainish phenomena I call fades and blips, after many months of absence.

Looked back to find the last resurgence, and sure enough it was the end of Feb in 2023.

The resurgence isn’t tied to temperature or exercise. Last year we had snow and ice every day, and I was busy shoveling the walk and raking the roof. This year (blessedly, because I really needed a break!) has been short of snow, only 22 inches for the whole season, and very little recently. No ice, mostly warmish. So the change
must be the season itself, the rotation and tilt of the earth.

My potato theory falls by the wayside. All of my attempted post-hocs and correlations fail. This crap happens in September and March no matter what I do to prevent it. It goes away after two or three weeks no matter what I do to slow it down. Sometimes it lasts longer, sometimes shorter.

The old SCIENTIFIC astrologers were right.
