The other mainline churches are also losing their resources for the same reason and the same geography. The big bureaucracies love and uphold and assist all of Deepstate’s wars and tyrannies and genocides: The military wars in Ukraine and Israel and a hundred other places. The “climate” war to enrich the rich and kill the poor. The “virus” war, which is the first TRUE WORLD WAR in all of history.
The Vatican and the bureaucracies of Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, et al, are solidly aligned with Bush and Trump and Biden and Mecher and Kennedy and Newsom and Boris. The religious bureaucrats are violently and militarily opposed to the original purpose of all three abrahamic religions.
Governments can continue to kill without limit as long as they can print counterfeit. Jerome Powell has limited the counterfeit resource for now, but Trump has vowed to fire him, and we can be goddamn sure that Trump will keep this promise, unlike his fake populist promises. Trump is NYC. Trump is Wall Street. Trump is Deepstate.
Churches and corporations can’t print money, so they have to rely on customers to some extent. These specific churches, like the big universities, have endowments and billionaire donors, but it appears that the billionaires are no longer excited about supporting the churches. Billionaires support agencies that spread the Prosperity Gospel of wealth and wickedness, and the old churches are no longer effective.
The real Christians are in places where the church bureaucrats have little control, and the real Christians are speedily detaching their churches from the old bureaucrats and linking together in new “nondenominational” groups.
This is a restoration of the original abrahamic form, and it’s a nice repeat of the 1500s restoration. The informal “nondenoms” in Africa and Dixie are the new denominations, just as informal groupings in Europe became the new denominations of the 1500s, and informal groupings in the Midwest became the new denominations (Millerite, Mormon, etc) of the 1800s.

Meta-thought: The weirdest thing about this broad failure is the total lack of interest or desire to fix the problem. The same collapse is happening in all institutions. Entertainment, corporations, politics, academia, journalism, religion. In each category EXCEPT POLITICS, a new set of smaller decentralized entities is growing fast, and normal people are rapidly abandoning the center and moving to the new modules. In each category INCLUDING POLITICS, the inhabitants of the old centralized monster are totally delusional. They have no idea why they’re failing, and have no desire to solve their own problem. In their minds the correct solution is to grow MORE repetitive and MORE grotesque and MORE unconscionable.
In each category, plenty of correct advice is coming from semi-insiders who are prominent enough that the center SHOULD be listening. But the center never listens to anyone but itself.
