Politicians refuse to solve problems because a solved problem means no budget and no talking points for campaigns. Every single problem must grow and grow and grow to provide more budget and more campaign funds. The sole purpose and goal of politics is endless pointless argument. If an argument might conceivably lead toward cleaning up a mess or helping ordinary people, it must be halted, and the subject must switch to an utterly futile argument.
Just now I remembered an important thing I learned from Max Keiser before he got all bitcoiny. He was telling us how stock demons think. Stock demons never want steadiness or savings or profits or constant production. Anything that contributes to STABILITY is anathema to a stock trader. Maximum change, maximum innovation, maximum disruption, maximum destruction = maximum ARBITRAGE. The sole purpose of the market is to create opportunities for SMASHING the real economy. Prices must change fast and drastically to maximize ARBITRAGE.
ARBITRAGE = ARGITRAGE.
