RFK’s answer to Biden’s “speech” is a perfect history and diagnosis of our troubles.
I wouldn’t argue with anything in the transcript, though I might quibble about the educational aspects. He gets all the major points right. As of 1960 we had moral leadership and we deserved it. FDR had rebuilt the country, strictly constrained Wall Street, and turned the country onto the right track. Deepstate used Truman to derail for a while, but Ike had enough internal power and external credibility to resume the right track. Ike steadfastly refused Deepstate’s demands to make more war and more problems.
Perfect diagnosis, but what’s the prescription? If we go by RFK’s previous record, he would want more Gaian lunacy and more Chinese crap, not less. Following the Checkable Rule, I’m open to listening if he changes his mind.
