Fink is the world.

Now Larry Fink wants to take over Social Security. He’s peddling a pack of obvious lies, which will work because everyone obeys Larry Fink if they want to survive. He owns a significant portion of the shares in most corporations, and nobody dares to move against His Supreme Will.

Fink claims we based our 65 retirement age on a plan in the Ottoman Empire. No. Our SS was based on the Townsend Plan, which was intended for 60. In the negotiations to get it passed, the age was moved up to 65.

Fink also says “When people are regularly living past 90, what should the average retirement age be?”

The number who regularly live past 90 hasn’t changed in many centuries, as a proportion of the people who reach 60. What changed between 1920 and 1970 was the number of people who made it INTO ADULTHOOD. Improved water and sewer systems eliminated quick-spreading diseases like cholera (THANKS, WPA!) and vaccines eliminated measles and polio. (THANKS, MARCH OF DIMES.)

The social security administration understands this pattern correctly, and tries to disseminate the facts. But all media and all commentators are stuck in the Steve Jobs / Sam Altman vicious vision that tech will enable infinite life. Everyone died at 35 until we zeroed out CO2, eliminated nanoplastics, muzzled and distanced the world, and maxed out iPhones.

In fact tech is SHORTENING our adult lifespan FAST, and most people are recognizing it.
