The current fake flap around Uri Berliner’s fake ‘cancel’ reminded me of something that happened before. The details are different this time but the basic pattern is the same.

1974 was a major Deepstate coup. Nixon was assigned as official scapegoat or sacrificial anode. He accomplished all the horrible tasks Deepstate needed, while cloaking the horrible changes in a horrible personality. Mr Horrible was then discarded amid great drama, so the real players could get down to business. Mr Horrible was replaced by Mr Harmless Dummy (named Jerry or Joe or something like that) who bumbled and fumbled around while Deepstate consolidated its gains behind the curtain.

Watergate was the official discard ceremony. It also accomplished another purpose. NPR was assigned to get the scoop. NPR’s reporters and newsreaders, formerly seen as dull nerds, were suddenly Belles of the Ball. Like a pine cone popping in a forest fire, they exploded out into all the other media and transformed the former entertainers into fulltime ascetic agents.

Trump is the officially assigned scapegoat for 2020. He’s being taken down in the same form right now, attributing trivial and universal “crimes” to him, the same normal crimes EVERY politician and millionaire commits daily, while carefully ignoring his unique historically unprecedented crimes. No politician ever imprisoned and waterboarded an entire nation before.

The current spate of “firing” is the new pine cone. NPR and NYTimes and MSNBC and CNN are “firing” their seeds into all other media, transforming former slackers like Rumble and Substack into hardworking propagandists.

SEEDS DO NOT BECOME INDEPENDENT. That’s not how seeds and spores work. Instead, the previously healthy forests are now infected by Deepstate’s pathogen.
