AI famously has trouble with multiples like fingers and headlights. It tends to run wild with a pattern, giving people seven fingers or giving cars six headlights.
Just now I got an email from Quantum Fiber, the successor to Pacific Bell and Qwest and CenturyLink. The heading says “there’s an outage in your area”.
Here’s the initial zoom on the first part:

Zooming out, this panel repeats 108 times:

And then a different panel repeats 108 times:

Is there an outage? Maybe somewhere, but my phone is still working. (Finally, after going through two months of AI repetition with the same company.)
… Since the first message, they’ve sent two “crews are still working” updates. Each of these has the same repeated panels, but the number of repeats decreases each time. Similar to what happened during the two months, when the fake “tech is scheduled” messages gave more precise time intervals each time, until finally a tech actually showed up. Like a damped pendulum narrowing down to a halt.
