Great headline but wrong.

Dan Rather fought the truth and won, and the media never recovered

Yes, Rather was forced out at CBS for his disastrous reporting on George W. Bush’s National Guard service, in which he relied on fabricated documents to allege that Dubya got special treatment and that his superiors had been ordered to lie about his record.

As all the follow-up reporting showed, it was utter nonsense. But what, in the end, did that matter? The narrative — that Bush was a nasty, evil, bad, bad, bad, bad man — was correct, Rather argued: Facts were and are irrelevant.

BUT: In fact Rather was right for the wrong reasons. Rather hated Bush simply because Bush was R and Rather was D. Pure team loyalty.

I was wrong at the time. I was part of the blogging team that helped to expose Rather’s fraud, which WAS a fraud. I was a loyal R at that time, liking Bush for equally stupid reasons.

As I continued writing this blog, my mind gradually pulled away from the team, and in 2011 after throwing away the TV, I came loose all the way.

Bush manufactured 9/11. Bush manufactured the “financial crisis” of 2008. Bush manufactured the “virus” holocaust of 2020.

Yes, he is the CHAMPION of all nasty bad men, the most productive and effective monster of recent decades. Rather was wrong about the facts but right about Bush. I was right about the facts but wrong about Bush.

Lesson as always: Ignore reasons and “facts”. Pay attention to what happens, pay attention to what leaders actually DO.

We’re seeing the same weird distortions now about Trump.

The people who hate Trump hate the delusional hologram of Trump as a “right-wing Christian fundamentalist homophobic populist nationalist anti-Semite”, which is provably and diametrically wrong at every single step.

The people who love Trump love the same delusional hologram.

In fact Trump IMPLEMENTED Bush’s plans for the 2020 holocaust. That’s all he did.

He didn’t accomplish any of his promises and claims. Instead of “draining the swamp” he expanded Deepstate massively and fired all the fake populists. Instead of favoring Main Street he infinitely enriched Wall Street with a multiplied repeat of 2008, and LITERALLY SHUT DOWN MAIN STREET. Instead of favoring Christians he SHUT DOWN THE CHURCHES AND MUZZLED THE BELIEVERS. Instead of hating Israel he served Israel loyally.
