Vivek’s latest interview is worth watching. He’s talking with Darren Beattie, an academic in political science who was Trump’s speechwriter for a while. Beattie, like Vivek, is a HARDASS realist. Beattie sees things from a high-level perspective that feels ‘over my head’ at times, but I always listen when a speaker demonstrates total Machiavellian realism at every point. Different solutions and different perspectives are always possible. A real solution must connect with the ground rod of reality, avoiding all partisan delusions.
Vivek’s solution is closer to reality because he doesn’t rely on “laws”. He recognizes that evil people are the problem, and removing resources from evil people is the solution. Before he started playing stupid games with Trump, his main agenda was eliminating all the bad agencies, which was also Harding’s solution for Wilson’s evil. Harding’s solution WORKED despite Deepstate’s scandaling and discrediting. Wilson’s agencies didn’t rebuild until 1946.
