Before 2020 flipped the script, fake doctors used to be called quacks.

The article includes a fact that’s far more interesting than the momentary event. DuckDuckGo is basically a rebrand or wrapper for Bing. It uses Bing under the surface.

The whole subject of data privacy is fake outrage with a commercial purpose. None of the methods really give you privacy, and there’s no advantage in this type of privacy even if you could achieve it. NSA is always monitoring everything, ESPECIALLY the fake “dark” or “private” parts of the web. When you’re on the web you have zero privacy. Starting with this OBVIOUS AND CORRECT assumption saves a lot of wasted effort and money.

For fairness: I don’t have any problem with Google’s search business. Their advertising business seems to be sneaky. Google gained its search monopoly the honest way by offering a better product. When Google started to move up, Yahoo and AOL were both MASSIVE. They had the resources to match and beat Google, but they didn’t try.
