This is what happens when you get involved in theories and theologies and philosophies.
Religion Unplugged writes about a survey of Army chaplains, revealing a peculiar and outright evil function served by the chaplains.
The survey was dealing with the perceived morality or legitimacy of software-driven drone warfare. It turns out that chaplains ADVISE GENERALS about “morality” as seen by their bizarre theologies and “moral” algorithms. They define four categories of drone warfare and have complex ways of “judging” the “legitimacy” of each type.
Every level of this algorithm is evil and immoral. There’s only one moral standard in the whole area of war and fighting.
1. NEVER ATTACK. NEVER START A WAR.
2. If genuinely attacked by a genuine enemy using genuine weapons, respond in the way that will preserve your country or yourself best. This depends on your abilities and resources, and the enemy’s abilities and resources. Sometimes it’s best to let the attacker use up his resources or his energy or passion. Russia has historically followed this method. When the enemy has unlimited energy and passion, and you have the ability to destroy him without also destroying yourself, go ahead and destroy his ability to attack.

The US chaplains are violating step 1 from the getgo because all of our wars are unjustified attacks on innocent people. From 1946 to 2020 we mostly attacked innocent people in other innocent countries. In 2020 we attacked our own innocent people.
After your side has broken step 1, there’s no possible way to get into the details of step 2. The only advice you can give is STOP THE WHOLE FUCKING THING NOW.
THEORY KILLS. EXPERIENCE SURVIVES.
