Journalist types are trained to lead with blood and guts. Even after they go independent, the training is unbreakable. They will always lead an article with something icky and awful, even when it’s completely unnecessary for the story or theme.
It ruins my day.
I’d gladly pay for a browser filter or algorithm helper that detected such discussions and blocked them with a warning.
Browser filters based on keywords are common, and they work well. I used to use one to block a couple of specific names I didn’t want to see. Those names have disappeared from the news, so the filter isn’t needed now. Keyword filters don’t work for a topic that could be expressed in many different ways. This should be a perfect task for an LLM.
