Microsoft is trying to backpedal on a new dystopian “feature” named Recall, planned for its Surface laptop. The laptop would store a complete history of everything you do, “enhanced” by AI, which means that it’s really stored on MS servers. White hat types have shown that the “feature” would be a dream for hackers. Microsoft claims it’s trying to fix the “feature”, and in the meantime it’s withdrawn from sale.
The headline, of course, should be
