Hmm. I seem to recall that another Dying Empire built piers in the same ocean, not too far from Israel…

This article shows a 2000-year-old pier still holding up, while our pier collapsed after a few weeks. Not even 2000 hours, let alone 2000 days or 2000 years.

Not incidentally, the Roman pier seems to have the expected shape of a pier, with a flat top and open arches or ‘legs’ underneath. The height of the ‘legs’ looks about the same as modern piers. If sea level had been rising as much as the Gaian lunatics say, the pier should have been way down below the surface by now.
