Today is Museum Comes To Life Day, and it lived up to its name.
I haven’t seen a “virus” ballgag in the wild for several months. The usual gothy suspects have finally given up the fashion. Today on the bus I saw a middle-aged couple, both overdressed and out of style, both wearing outsized glasses on their narrow faces. They reminded me of Gladys and Bertram, the Official Weird Neighbors in a ’50s sitcom. Bertram was muzzled but Gladys wasn’t. I caught a snip of conversation. Gladys was saying “I Believe We Should Make It Home By 9:15 If All Goes Well.”
Then on the walk home from the bus stop I passed an ordinary stocky middle-aged dude who was bouncing a basketball as he walked.
