It’s fun to watch Room 101 in real time. Yesterday all the official DNC sources were telling Biden to quit. Now they’re predictably forgetting what they said yesterday and returning to the cult.
Reminds me of something that happened in 2006. I don’t remember the details, so I’m going to make up some details to fit the plot.
Rush had spent a terrific amount of energy and used up some of his credibility to support a Repooflican candidate who was obviously crap. When the candidate lost, the party accused Rush of inadequate support.
That was ENOUGH. With more genuine passion than I’d heard before, Rush announced that he was “through carrying water for the party”. From now on he would make his own decisions and support only real conservative candidates who were worth the trouble.
And then the next day it all disappeared. Memoryholed. He was back to supporting the candidate and regretting the defeat.
Politics is the dirtiest of all professions. You can’t get into the top ranks without a sizable pile of blackmail files. When you slip out of line, one brief reminder is sufficient.
