I started adult life in prison where I was literally and figuratively deflowered. The illusions of “freedom” and “democracy” and “justice” learned in school were stripped away and replaced by reality. Later in the 90s I fell back into neocon illusions. After turning off the TV in 2011, the illusions quickly dropped away and reality resumed.
2020 removed a few leftover illusions. At first I thought “transparency” might break the spell. We needed to “open the blackmail” so everyone would see. By the end of 2020, the facts were all out in the open and Trump didn’t stop the torture. Fully deflowered again.
At first I went along with Berenson, who seemed like a true whistleblower. He seemed to have access to inside info. As most of his inside info turned out to be false, I lost faith but couldn’t quite place him as an unquestionable Agent Provocateur. Now I can. He’s supporting Trump, the tyrant who gave us 2020.
