The idiot leaders of this fucked “city” received a 10 million dollar federal grant for “Traffic Calming Infrastructure”. Now they’re setting up a project to bring Traffic Calming to even more intersections.
A Traffic Calmer is an extension of the curb into the outer lanes of the street at each corner, making it impossible for bicycles and pedestrians to stay in the outer lanes. You have to veer out into the traffic lanes to get around the peninsula. I have no idea why this is described as “calming”.
