The Supreme decision on sovereign immunity is being trashed by both “sides” for the same stupid reason. D hates it because it would prevent prosecuting Trump. R hates it because it would prevent prosecuting Biden.
Ignore principles. Look at what has actually HAPPENED. Before last week, NO OFFICIAL WAS EVER PROSECUTED FOR CRIMES IN OFFICE. NOT ONE, NOT EVER.
Trump is being prosecuted for stupid crap that had nothing to do with his real crime, the “virus” holocaust. These fake trials are trying to punish him for stuff that every millionaire does all the time, or for keeping classified info, which is OFFICIALLY PERMITTED for a president.
Many congressmen were prosecuted for “ethics”, which is a fake trick like “sexual harrassment”. This sort of punishment really means that the official didn’t commit the right TYPE of crimes at the right TIME, or didn’t commit crimes to serve the right GANG.
HUAC prosecuted and punished officials for aiding Russia AT A TIME WHEN RUSSIA WAS OUR ALLY. After Deepstate rose from its grave in 1946, we resumed our normal insane hatred of Russia and love for Germany. We had to punish everyone who had helped to win the war against our lover and mentor and idol.
If you wanted to make the case that immunity is a bad thing, you shouldn’t have given ALL officials UNIVERSAL immunity for 250 fucking years before last week. Now you don’t have a case.
