People are different

I’m a cool-weather critter. Always that way, even more with age. Happiest and most energetic between 30 and 60 degrees. The current heat wave wilts me. The air conditioner keeps the ambient air in the living room below 76, but my body picks up the radiant heat from ceiling and walls.

The neighbor across the street is the opposite. He doesn’t have air conditioning, though he could definitely afford it. He stays in when it’s cold and goes out when it’s hot. Right now, in 97 degrees, he’s sitting on his front porch scrolling his iPhone.
