Briefly got taken in by JD Vance. He certainly talks the talk. Looking at more sources, he turns out to be a scammer like Trump. Vance is a tech tyrant, closely tied to Thiel. His practical sympathies are with billionaires, not workers. Trump needs him as a conduit to the Effective Altruism billionaires, plus a salesman for fake populism.
I’m a perpetual sucker for populist talk. This time I wasn’t fooled.
On the other hand, maybe I’m just disappointed that they picked Vance instead of me. For many months the scampaign email has been offering me the VP position! I’m not quite that far into suckerdom yet.
